The prompt

In Google Analytics, list every campaign name, source and medium seen over the last [90] days, with sessions and revenue. Group together the ones that are probably the same thing typed differently, such as [facebook], [Facebook] and [fb], or [newsletter] and [email]. Show me traffic filed as (not set) or that looks like it lost its tags. Then give me one naming scheme for UTM tags, all lower case, with a table of the exact values to use from now on for [newsletter, Facebook, Instagram and Skroutz].

If SAR is already in your AI app, this is enough:

Find the UTM spellings that split my Google Analytics reports and give me one naming scheme.

What happens

  1. The AI app runs a Google Analytics report of session campaign, source and medium, with sessions and revenue.
  2. It groups the values that look like the same campaign or source typed differently.
  3. It points out traffic with no campaign information where you would expect some.
  4. It writes a naming scheme and a table of values; nothing changes.

What you get

One way of tagging links that everyone on your team can follow. Past data in Google Analytics stays as it was recorded; the clean-up shows from the next campaign on.
