Clear the cache when visitors still see the old version
Changed something and the site still shows the old version? Clear WordPress's and your caching plugin's caches, for one page or the whole site.
- Difficulty
- Beginner
- Time
- about 5 min
- Works with
- WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache, WP Super Cache, LiteSpeed Cache, SiteGround Optimizer, WP Fastest Cache, Autoptimize, Breeze, Nginx Helper, Hummingbird, Cache Enabler
I changed [what, e.g. the prices on the home page] but visitors still see the old version. Clear the caches for [the page address, or the whole site]. Tell me which caches you cleared and which you could only name, so I know if I need to clear anything myself, such as a CDN. Then take a screenshot of the page so I can see what visitors see now.
Already connected?
If SAR is already in your AI app, this is enough:
Clear the caches for [page or whole site] and show me the page as visitors see it now.
What happens
- The AI app clears WordPress's object cache and the caching plugin's cache, Elementor's CSS and, on WP Engine or Kinsta, the host's cache.
- Given a page address, it clears only that page where a cache allows it; the caches it cannot clear for one page are named, not cleared.
- Clearing caches loses no content and needs no approval.
- It takes a screenshot of the page as visitors see it now.
- It tells you what is left for you, such as a CDN you manage elsewhere.
Approvals involved
Nothing here changes your site: no approval needed.

What you get
