A guest writer invited with just enough access
Add a guest writer with a role that lets them write but not run the site; WordPress emails them a link to choose their own password.
- Difficulty
- Beginner
- Time
- about 10 min
Invite [name] ([email]) to write for my blog. Show me the roles I can give and which of them can manage the site, and suggest the one that lets them write posts but not publish them, such as [Contributor]. Check they aren't already a user. Then send the invitation.
Already connected?
If SAR is already in your AI app, this is enough:
Invite [name] ([email]) as a [Contributor] on my blog.
What happens
- The AI app reads the roles you may give, which of them can manage the whole site, and how many users have each.
- It lists your users to check the person isn't already one. Emails are shortened.
- Adding the user waits for your approval in SAR; a role that can manage the site also asks for your password. It can be undone.
- WordPress emails them a link to choose their own password. SAR never sees or sets it.

What you get
