Get your site out of maintenance or coming-soon mode
Visitors see 'Briefly unavailable' or a coming-soon page? Find out what keeps them out: a stuck update or a plugin left switched on.
- Difficulty

- Time
- about 10 min
Visitors to my site see [what they see, e.g. 'Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance' or our coming-soon page]. Find out what is keeping them out: a WordPress update that got stuck, or a coming-soon or maintenance plugin that is still on. If it's a plugin I no longer need, ask me before turning it off. If an update is stuck, tell me how the last update went and exactly what to ask my host to do.

If SAR is already in your AI app, this is enough:
Visitors can't get in: find out what keeps the site in maintenance mode and how to end it.
What happens
- The AI app checks whether WordPress's own maintenance file is in place during an update and whether it looks stuck, and which coming-soon or maintenance plugins are on.
- It reads how the last WordPress update went: queued, running, done or failed.
- If a plugin keeps visitors out, turning it off is approved in SAR with your password and can be undone.
- If the coming-soon mode belongs to a plugin you keep, or WordPress's maintenance file is stuck, it tells you where to switch it off or what to ask your host to remove.
