One very long guide turned into a linked series of posts

Split an overgrown post into a short series of drafts that link to each other, and keep the original as an overview that points to every part.

The prompt

My post [address of the long guide] has grown too long. Suggest how to split it into [3 to 5] posts, each with its own title and focus, and show me the plan. When I agree, create each part as a draft with links to the previous and next part, and rewrite the original as a shorter overview that links to every part. Keep the original's address. Give me preview links for everything before anything goes live.

If SAR is already in your AI app, this is enough:

Already connected?

Split [post address] into a series of [3 to 5] linked drafts and turn the original into an overview.

What happens

  1. The AI app reads the guide in full and shows you a plan for the series.
  2. It saves each part as a draft, with links between the parts, and gives you preview links.
  3. Publishing each part waits for your approval in SAR. Publish the parts first, so the overview never links to a draft.
  4. The original is live, so its shorter version waits for your approval too. The previous version is kept, so it can be undone for 30 days.
