Report on visits by author and blog category in Google Analytics
Register the author and category parameters your site already sends as custom dimensions, with your approval, so reports can break visits down by them.

My site sends the parameters [post_author] and [post_category] with every page view to Google Analytics. List the custom dimensions and metrics my property already has, so we don't create a duplicate, and list my blog's categories so the values I will see make sense. Then propose two event-scoped custom dimensions, [Author] and [Category], from those parameters. Show me the exact parameter names, display names and scope, and wait for my yes. Once they exist, tell me when to expect data and which report to ask you for.
Already connected?
If SAR is already in your AI app, this is enough:
Add custom dimensions for [author] and [category] in my Google Analytics, after showing me what you will create.
What happens
- The AI app reads the custom dimensions and metrics your property already has.
- It lists your WordPress categories.
- It shows you the exact dimensions it would create; the parameter names must match what your site sends, because GA4 reports cannot show a parameter before it is registered.
- Each creation waits for your approval in SAR before it reaches Google.
- Later, it runs a Google Analytics report of views by author and category for the data collected since.

What you get
Reports that show which authors and categories bring readers. Data starts from the day each dimension is created; earlier visits stay without it.
