An event moved to a new date, on the calendar and in the posts that mention it

Change an event's date or venue in The Events Calendar and fix the posts that still announce the old details, with your approval for each.

The prompt

My event [event name] on [old date] has moved to [new date, same time] at [new venue, or 'the same venue']. Find it in my calendar, show me its current details and change the date and venue. Then find my posts and pages that mention the old date for this event and show me each sentence before and after. Update them only after I approve.

If SAR is already in your AI app, this is enough:

Already connected?

Move [event name] from [old date] to [new date] and fix the posts that mention the old date.

What happens

  1. The AI app finds the event among your events around the old date and reads it in full.
  2. Changing a published event waits for your approval in SAR. Recurring series are refused, so change those in WordPress. It can be undone.
  3. It searches your posts and pages for the old date and shows you each sentence before and after.
  4. Each fix changes a passage only where it appears exactly once; a live post waits for your approval in SAR and can be undone for 30 days.

Approvals involved

Worked out from the tools this recipe uses.

  • wordpress_list_eventsEventsNone
  • wordpress_get_eventAn eventNone
  • wordpress_update_eventChange an eventApproval once live
  • wordpress_list_postsList posts or pagesNone
  • wordpress_replace_in_postReplace a passageApproval once live

What you get

The new date everywhere your site mentions the event, so nobody turns up on the old one.
