Update WordPress itself, with a fresh backup taken first
Take a backup with your backup plugin, update WordPress to the version offered, follow it to the end and run the database step if one is waiting.

Tell me which WordPress version my site runs and which one is offered. Check when the last successful backup was; if it is older than [hours, e.g. 12 hours], take a new one labelled 'Before updating WordPress to [version]' and wait until it is done. Then update WordPress to that exact version, follow the update until it finishes and tell me whether the site still loads. If a database update is pending afterwards, ask me before running it.
Already connected?
If SAR is already in your AI app, this is enough:
Back up, then update WordPress to [version] and tell me if the site still loads.
What happens
- The AI app lists the updates WordPress knows of, with the version you are on and the one offered.
- It reads which backup plugin the site uses and how old the last good backup is.
- If it is too old, a new backup waits for your approval, then runs in the background; the AI app follows it until it is done.
- The WordPress update is approved in SAR with your password and runs on the site; the AI app follows it to the end and checks the site still loads.
- If WordPress asks for its database step afterwards, that waits for your approval too.

What you get
WordPress up to date, with a backup from minutes before. SAR cannot undo an update and never restores; if something goes wrong, a person restores from the backup in wp-admin.
