Can ChatGPT or Claude read my Shopify store data through SAR?

Not yet. The Shopify connection is coming next, and there is no date for it. Today you can connect your store's Google Analytics and Search Console and ask ChatGPT or Claude about visitors, landing pages and Google searches.

What works today

Google Analytics for your store

Connect your store's GA4 property. ChatGPT or Claude can read traffic, channels, landing pages, key events and funnels, including purchases if your store sends them to GA4.

Search Console for your store

Connect your store's site in Search Console to read search queries, clicks, impressions, CTR and indexing issues.

Both together

With both connected to one organization, the AI app can compare search impressions with actual visits for the same pages.

Questions you can ask today with Google Analytics and Search Console

  • How much traffic did we get in the last 30 days, compared with the 30 before?
  • Where did our visitors come from last week?
  • Which landing pages brought in the most visitors this month?
  • Which channel brought the most key events last month?
  • Which search queries brought us the most clicks in the last 28 days?
  • Which pages get plenty of search impressions but little actual traffic?

What you can do today

  1. Create your organization

    Sign up at app.sar-soft.com and create an organization for your store.

  2. Connect Google Analytics and Search Console

    Sign in with Google, allow read-only access, and choose your store's GA4 property and Search Console site.

  3. Add SAR to ChatGPT or Claude

    Add https://mcp.sar-soft.com/mcp, SAR's MCP server address, as a custom connector, then sign in and authorize your organization.

  4. Join the Shopify waitlist

    Leave your details and we will tell you when the Shopify connection is available.

What to know

  • The Shopify connection is not available yet and has no release date.
  • Until it arrives, ChatGPT or Claude cannot read Shopify orders, products or stock through SAR.
  • Purchase figures in GA4 depend on your store sending purchase events, and can differ from Shopify's own totals.
  • Answers come from ChatGPT or Claude and can be wrong or incomplete.
